Sediment Monitoring & Testing

Edgars Creek Sediment Trap

Fisher & Fisher’s knowledge of water sensitive urban design and experience in diverse environmental projects allowed the successful completion of consulting services for the investigation and reporting on the bathymetry and sediment characteristics of the Edgars Creek sediment trap, Edwardes Lake Park, in Reservoir.

The bathymetry was required to enable the determination of the depth (thickness) of the sediment lying on the Lake base, and the characterisation of the sediment. The detailed report submitted to the client consists of a comprehensive site investigation, digital terrain model (DTM) analysis, sample collection and analysis, advice and recommendations for the removal of sediment and cost estimate.
