We provide any and all phases of project delivery. This includes:

Project Management

Investigations/Feasibility Studies

Water Quality Assessment and Reporting

Flow Monitoring

Functional Design & Detailed Design Construction Management / Superintendent (Representative) roles to AS2124, AS4300, AS4000 Construction Advice, Commissioning Ongoing Management Plans

Water Sensitive Urban Design particularly treatment of stormwater through swales, bio-retention (sub-soil filters), sediment basins, rain gardens, underground storage (artificial aquifers), wetland ponds, lakes and rainwater tanks.

Land Development Services including Water Sensitive Urban Design, water harvesting, water re-use and wastewater treatment with combined Water Sensitive Urban Design and drainage.

Stormwater/Civil Engineering Services including hydraulics, hydrology, water quality treatment, flood mitigation.

Sustainable Water Services (Integrated water management systems), using extensive irrigation and re-use methods. Reductions in potable water use, with a different approach to water management on developments by harvesting and treating then re-using High Quality Greywater (HQGW). Integration of treated stormwater and combined re-use of the treated water for re-use in facilities, in particular to sites with water budgets that have a lack of available mains water or sewerage systems, and to comply with stringent environmental, economic and operational constraints.

Wastewater treatment and disposal systems, using innovative approach for harvesting and re-use of HQGW and treating using a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) process

Concept and detail design of water storage facilities, tanks and pump systems.

Concept and detail design of water and wastewater movement systems, pump stations, detention and flow attenuation systems.

Concept development and detail design of wastewater treatment and water re-cycling systems including wastewater collection and water delivery networks. A range of treatment processes can be designed by Fisher & Fisher including Activated Sludge, Lagoon, RBC, SBR, Membrane, and Vermiculture.

Application documents and details for EPA Works Approvals for wastewater treatment and re-use systems and Environment Improvement Plans.

Stormwater Quality for pollutant removal efficiency using MUSIC modelling to maximise pollutant removal through iterating differing size of treatment trains (wetlands, swales and sediment ponds). The modelling produces kg/annum of nitrogen, phosphorus and suspended solids.

Topographic modelling. Wetland (earthworks) shaping with depths and planting zones, extended detention (treatment) depths. Undertaken in a 3D digital terrain model. Pond areas and depths sized sufficiently for planting.

Soft civil engineering that includes erosion protection with rock weirs, ponds for habitats and planting, planting berms (benches), litter traps, sediment collection basins, safety benches. Earthworks designed using digital terrain models can be provided using Land Development Desktop (AutoCad) and Micro Station.

Flood protection that includes hydraulic and hydrologic analysis. Hydraulic analysis and design with StormCad for conveyance systems. Hydrologic analysis and design with RORB and HEC-RAS for conveyance systems and retarding basins. Flood mapping using HEC-RAS and Mapinfo. Dam break analysis can also be undertaken where required.

Project management of a range of specialist environmental and ecological services provided by specialist sub-consultants including:

Botanical services that includes weed management, planting plans, plant species lists, re-establishment of local provenance vegetative cover, flora surveys.

Ecological habitat investigation services that includes fauna surveys and fish ladders.

Archaeological investigations for both Heritage Victoria and Aboriginal Affairs Victoria.

Contaminant investigation services that includes material sampling and testing in accordance with EPA regulations.

Geotechnical and hydrogeological investigation services includes material sampling and testing to assess existing ground conditions. Geotechnical stability assessments can be undertaken on embankments

General Civil/Structural engineering services includes design for steel, concrete, roadways, bridges, conveyance systems.

Engineering construction drawings provided in AutoCad and Micro Station. Drawings typically include drawing index, general arrangements, existing conditions plans, design plans, design long and cross sections, details of project requirements.

Surveys for engineering design and as built information are undertaken by various sub consultants including Alexander Symonds and Rodney Martin & Associates.

Community consultation services to assist with public meetings and council (statutory and environmental) planning approvals;

Contract documentation including contract schedules (annexure to AS2124), cost estimates, technical specifications and construction drawings;

Maintenance personnel input, a key issue in the delivery of wetland projects is to have maintenance personnel requirements;

Project management of conceptual design, functional design, detailed design and construction phases.

Risk assessments including probabilistic costing for estimates.

Environmental Engineering including ecological designs for waterways and wetlands.
