Client: Parks Victoria

Stormwater and wastewater treatment design and construction including reclaimed water.

The 12 Apostles, in the Port Campbell National Park , presented unique challenges. The project required the treatment of storm and wastewater (Sewage) from a facility in an environment of considerable ecological and recreational significance coupled with the lack of mains water for a facility that demanded a reliable water source.

Fisher & Fisher has provided detail design and construction supervision/contract management services for a range of works on this iconic site.

Recent works include upgrading of the wastewater treatment plant, emergency power supply and wetland and recycling system including innovative biological offtake structures that prevent reduce algal cell and sludge intake into system, sludge removal works, reclaimed water system upgrade and ongoing urgent management plans. The works required approval with EPA and Department of Health.

Fisher & Fisher has undertaken Superintendents Representative role for the works and has managed the construction works around peak visitor periods to the visitor centre.
